What goes into a full English?

A full English usually includes sausages, back bacon, eggs, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and toast or fried bread. Black pudding and hash browns are common additions. The combination varies from one business to another.

Green Acres supplies the British and Irish specialities for this breakfast. Compare back and streaky bacon, choose between breakfast sausage varieties, or find a baked bean pack size that suits the number of breakfasts you serve.

The Green Acres story

It started with an
English breakfast.

In 1986, Nick Mathews opened an English Breakfast Bar in Amsterdam. British and Irish products were difficult to source for the hospitality trade. That search led him to establish Green Acres in 1996.

The business remains in the Mathews family. Its range now extends well beyond breakfast, but British and Irish breakfast specialities are still part of Green Acres.

Questions about products and ordering

What is the difference between back bacon and streaky bacon?

Back bacon is made from cured pork loin and usually has a broad, relatively lean section. Streaky bacon comes from the belly and has more fat running through it. It is the style commonly known in the Netherlands as ontbijtspek. Green Acres lists both cuts.

How does an Irish breakfast differ from a full English?

A full Irish shares many ingredients with a full English. White pudding is a characteristic Irish addition, often alongside black pudding. Bread and side dishes can also vary by region. State clearly on the menu what your breakfast includes.

Where can I buy English breakfast products for my business?

Green Acres is a food and drink wholesaler serving the Dutch market. Its breakfast range includes breakfast sausages, back bacon, baked beans, black and white pudding, and hash browns. Contact the team for current prices, availability and delivery options.

Do you also supply wholesalers?

Yes. Green Acres supplies wholesalers as well as hotels, restaurants, pubs and retailers. To add British and Irish breakfast products to your own range, tell us which items and pack sizes you need, along with your expected quantities. We can then discuss prices and delivery options for your business.

Are there vegetarian options, and where can I find allergen information?

Linda McCartney Rosemary & Red Onion Sausages are listed as a vegetarian option. Request the current specification for your chosen item. Check ingredients and allergens product by product; vegetarian does not mean allergen-free.

Can I order as a private customer?

Englishbreakfast.nl is a catalogue for trade buyers. It does not accept consumer orders. Visit Green Acres for trade enquiries and ordering information.
